Cleola Callahan, MSW -Survivor, Advocate, Visionary and Motivational Speaker

A proud Birmingham native, Cleola Callahan, MSW, is a dedicated advocate, educator, and leader with a heart for survivors of domestic violence. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Alabama State University, a Bachelor of Social Work from Miles College, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama. 

As a survivor of domestic violence herself, Cleola’s lived experience fuels her passion for creating safe, empowering spaces for others. Her professional work in the nonprofit and domestic violence fields, including years of service with community organizations, has shaped Haven of Hope into a survivor-centered, trauma-informed organization. 

Cleola’s vision is simple but powerful: to ensure that every survivor who crosses paths with Haven of Hope feels seen, heard, believed, and supported on their journey toward healing and self-sufficiency.
